Fortune telling by reading the lines on the face is coined Metoposcopy. Reading the lines of the face to predict fortunes was popular in the 16th century, but has become popular again. Fortune telling by reading the lines on the face is used to predict the inner characteristic of the individual as well as trends of experience. Metoposcopy considers three components personality, countenance and contingency. These three topics use the lines of the face to categorize individuals that fall under a combination of criteria.
Analysis of fortune telling by reading the face can be broken down into seven topics, forehead and eyebrows, eyes and eyelids, nose, mouth/jaw, ears, cheek, and chin. Placement of these facial features plays an important role on the demeanor of the individual.
The forehead and eyebrows have a variety of appearances. Flat, curved or arched eyebrows. Horizontal wrinkles across the forehead or a widow’s peak at the hairline. An individual with deep, slanting up, close-set eyes will have a far different personality as an individual with down slant, far set and far apart eyes. The individual with the close-set eyes will be fastidious, energetic and alert. The individual with eyes set far apart is low key, laid back and postpones tasks.
The nose centers the face and the personality of the individual. The size, shape and profile have determinate impact on the individual. An individual with a bulbous is a meticulous saver while an individual with a small tip at the end of their nose is a spendthrift.
The mouth and jaw are categorized by fullness and direction of lips at corner, cupid lip, jaw width narrow/wide or square. If an individual has thin lips and a square jaw they are intelligent and determined. If an individual has full lips and a weak jaw they are sensitive and insecure.
Placement of the ears is divided into categories of size large/small, placement on the face low/high, pointed or short/long lobed. An individual with short, thick ears is imprudent and unreliable. If the ears are long and thin the individual will be intelligent and well known.
The cheeks are broken into categories of high/low cheekbones, wide/far apart, round or cheeks below the corner of the lips. An individual with wide far apart cheeks they are selfish and powerful. An individual with high close-set cheekbones is proud and a solid leader.
Chin shape round, pointed, or square. Narrow/wide chin, dimpled chine or weak. An individual with a square chin is proactive and forceful while an individual with a pointed chin is loyal and inquisitive.
Lines on the forehead, above the nose and line the edges of the mouth all impact an individuals personality. Many lines on the forehead, deep lines next to the mouth and a sharp line above the nose indicate and individual who is sensitive, concentrates well and optimistic.
